anyone help ref xk lock out issue only able to enter vehicle currently with key in passenger door

 

if you place he fob in its slot, does he car start?

 

Keyless variant but yes vehicle does start

 

I take it your Smart Key doesn't transmit as a remote? That's probably a dead battery in the Key. Or, a battery connection inside the key that is worn and not making contact on the 2032 battery. There's a whole thread on this somewhere.

 

No battery is OK, as if relocking with remote it is functional also opens & close boot/tailgate.

 

Okay then, I will conclude that the DRIVER door will not unlock using the button on the Smart Key. Does it LOCK by pressing the button on the door handle? How about by pushing the interior door handle into the panel?
You may have a problem with the locking solenoid on that door.
