I would go for the R. I like the 20 inch on the coupe better, but a 5 grand option I can live without. The 19s on the R look good enough on their own.

Both are XKR... I am more inclined to go with the convertible... I, as well, do not care for the additional 5K option... those 19's look great.

Folks,

Look at the seats in this photo (taken from the official Jag website). What seats are those??

I have not seen those in any of the XKR I have looked at...

By looking at the interior trim I would say that is XKR Portfolio

I checked the Portfolio photos... could not see them there... and the door sill does not say Portfolio...

Maybe another European option we can't get in the USA... [:@]

Hey Wachuko, still looking for your vert? My Ft Worth Jag Dealer (Autobahn) has a 07 silver one, just like your coupe there that you took a picture of, except a convertible. It's not even updated in their online inventory yet, but it's outside under the canopy. Just in case you were looking 'outside' of your area code for the perfect one. Black scares me with the difficulty in keeping it clean and those swirls.

But the car in black looks so pretty...I know how a pita it can be to maintain... but they just look mean in that color...

I have the 996TT on Autotrader to see if I can get a better offer than the trade-in value I am getting from Collier. That and the fact that I was to wait for them to get the new incentives and see if those were better than the current ones... Silver...hummm...

Ok Wachuko, couldn't help myself, but since I have a relationship with the jag guys who sold me my car in Houston (Momentum), I called to find out what 07 verts they had on their floor as well. They have a Liquid Silver/Ivory, Emerald Green/??, and a White/Tan (and dk blue top). All are stickered at $85k-86k.

I don't know why I am having so much fun looking for these...

(edited for incorrect interior color on white ext.)

Thank you. I too, enjoy helping friends when they go out to buy cars. It is part of being a car nut/freak... From the prices they gave you it seems that either the March incentives are still not in or there are no different from last month. The price I got was 88K out the door, so that is about 85K more or less for the car. I went to their site to look at the inventory.

Thank you for your help!

Took a few quick shots of the Silver vert they had under the canopy.

It was in front of the 'pre-owned' sign, not sure if it was or not. I didn't ask. Charcoal interior inside. love those big wheels! She was pretty!!

Which one was pretty?
Judging by the fact that there was no window sticker, rotors were rusty and the fact it was an 07 with lux and sentas I would say it is def a preowned car.

Well then, good luck in your search. speed freak! I presume the vert that you 'test drove' was not the R, and it wasn't fast enough for you?

Whatever you do dont let those monkeys at Colliers prep the car. They are not good. Tell them you want to have your own detailer do it and call Todd Helme from Tropical Detailing also in Orlando. 407 963 1444. Especially if you go go for the black vert. If you let them prep it, it will be covered in swirls and fine scratches. They still use one bucket and sponges and chamois leathers to clean cars. Todd is the very best detailer in central florida. see link. http://www.jaguarforum.co.uk/viewtop...?p=64618#64618

Ps....hope you are dealing with Gary in sales.

WOW!!! First of all, that color combination looks amazing. And going over the photos of the work the detailer did... wow!

Thank you for sharing the link.
