Recently driving a XKR-S 2012 and want it to be a little bit louder with more v8 sound

the options I found is changing downpipe or headers.

The headers for my car is not produced from any other manufacturer as far as I've searched.
But downpipe comes from 'velocity ap' or other suppliers in China.

As the exhaust for XKR-S come with only 1 cat before the middle section, removing the second cat in the middle section can't be the way to improve the sounds.

If you have any other recommendation or brands to recommend.

You won't find any "off-the-shelf" aftermarket exhaust headers for the 5.0L XKR engine. A former Forum member, Derek Fricke, a.k.a. FrickenJag, was developing exhaust headers for the 5.0L engine when he unexpectedly died in 2020.

A custom exhaust fabrication shop may be able to make exhaust headers for your XKR-S, but will they be worth the cost? Probably not, which explains why there aren't any available on the aftermarket.

 

I'm a fan of LARINI exhaust. It will set you back about 2.5K, more if you want the mid resonator delete(louder tone but more drone sound).

 

There is only 1 catalytic converter per header and not one on the centre lines.

 

With the rare car, it's the only problem to get the parts easily.
