Steve, I found the 35s on my X100R drive better than 30s.
To be honest, at the time I bought the car they were on the car already, and I did not notice them being not original size for the car.
After I took the car on track for the first time (Zandvoort) I was impressed by the balance as I could drive with very little oversteer.
Tires suffered though, as they should (Michelin ps4s)
(Let not talk about the Brembo's as the pads lasted 3 laps only)
In prep for next event I looked for new tires, and that is when I noticed the ones on the car were too high.. (normally I am not that stupid&#128517
So I put on stock size Michelin.
compared to 35s I liked the look less, as the car was pretty much stock height (altough stock handling pack was on).
To be fair I missed the softer feel quite a lot.
And when I took it out on track I noticed TRAC DSC was triggered a lot more trying to achieve same (still quite slow&#129763 laptimes.
Switching DSC off I was not ready for, being unexperienced on track..

So I liked 35s more in any and every way.

By the way, have you heard JLR's dropped the Ford AJ-V8s (finally) and returned to the 4.4L, beginning this year, now with twin turbo?

Yeah, a BMW engine. That's a bunch of crap. If I wanted a BMW engine, I'd go to a junk yard and buy a low-mile salvage, then go fishing with it.

About the reffered outgoing Ford AJ-V8, indeed FOMOCO is marked all over the thing, I trust there isn't the expection over here that its the same as the actual Mustang 5.0.
the AJ-V8 5.0 is quite specific to JLR I beleive?
Even more so compared to the 4.0 (3.9) from the Jag-Ford era shared with some other brands..right?

Here at mainland Europe there is not much V8 let alone 5.0 driving around so its all heresay;-).

Four wheels ready and mounted now.
No codes.
But rear touches the plastic edge on the arch.
Hope its enough to just remove the plastic piece from the arch.

@Ekskaar A rear alignment might sort the rubbing issue. I've got 305 on mine and had to set camber at over -2 degrees.

Thanks.
I thought I had read X150 could not adjust rear camber.
I was hoping that wasn't true though..
Where is the adjustment feature? (Or is it with aftermarket excentric bolts?)
I could fiddle with it to see if it helps enough before stopping by an alignment shop for propper job.
-2 degrees seems nice for grip under hard cornering as well..

Found some other threads here about x150 rear camber adjustment, as in being non existent, in which I believe you've posted as well?
What is the intention of your directions?

I don't perform my own corner balancing and alignment as I've neither a rack nor scales. I'll ask my friend who does it for me, how he achieved that much negative camber.

Default Ultimate test

I've had the chance to put the car with 21" wheels to the ultimate (to me) test onthe Dutch F1 racing circuit.
it was not bad at all, the tires circumference was bigger than standard, with some effect as expected..

Good: better in getting the power down, much more grip (315-30-21 CUP2) in the rear. Easier to throw around in less carefull manner without having the nose of the car directing in opposite direction;-).

Maybe less good:
the 315-30 rears ate up the wheel liners when pushing for fast laps

And although the standard brakes with Yellowstuff held up well, I felt I needed to stand on the pedal with more force. Did not enter in ABS activation.
This by the bigger wheel/tire circumference I expect.. (255-35-21 fronts, wanted 30s but that would trigger faults with the big rear tires beyond 5% bigger)

All in all, nice experiment.
Next experiment is electric brake cooling, and back to 19" with smaller than standard wheel/tire circumference. (See if laptimes can go up)

I have a xkr-s with stock rims. Was told in past could put 265 fronts and 305 rears without issue or adjustment. Is that true? 20 inch rims.

Not sure how wide your rims are.
But one size widh extra should be possible I expect.
on 20" standard is 255/285 correct?

I've had 305 for years with no issues. I think 315 would be pushing too close to the liners for comfort...
