Default Barn Find 1954 XK120

After death in the family, owner wants to sell this Jaguar. It has been parked in covered garage for 30 years. Wheels roll freely and tires actually hold air. Car will need to be restored. All original. I have an interested party in the car but do not know where to price it. Car does not run currently. Is a starting number of $18,000 hoping for $12,000-14,000 realistic? Any help would be graciously appreciated. See attached pics.

From what you've shown us so far, the car looks in very good condition, and would seem to have been cherished by the person who owned and drove it. Could you show us photo of the engine compartment. I would have thought you'd have no problem obtaining your $18k price, although the Covid19 crisis may affect values. Here in the UK, people would be pressing money into your hand in normal times.

I wish I could. The hood latch release is seized afraid if i pull too much it will break. Any thoughts on how to open? Does the hood open from the front or from the windshield side? Thanks by the way for the potential appraisal information.

Your prize is way to low, these will fetch easy more that € 35000 in europe.
Try selling it international.

Peter Jan

mine is an XK120 Fixed Head. There is a pull cable under the right dash to release the hood. Then there is a lever under the front of the hood that is accessible once the cable is pulled.
