IRS for XK150?
I found nothing on the internet. IRS was never fitted to any of the 50s XK sports cars. It would be a major conversion, and you'd have to take the body off and strip the chassis down so welding can be done. A very difficult conversion and why would you bother ?
Some years ago there was an article, probably in Jaguar World, about an XK that had received various upgrades including a Jaguar IRS, but I don't remember any details. Apart from that, it's possible the likes of Beecham or Vicarage might have worked one.
Of course, there are all the usual questions about cost, effort, consequences for the car if major cutting of the body and chassis are involved. And is the result worth the effort? My own impression is that, though an XK150 might not match an E type, it is way better to drive than the contemporary M-B 300SL in spite of the latter's IRS.
