Default Parts XK150

Hello,

Me and my dad are from Sweden and found a XK150 OTS Roadster project. Some of the parts are missing and some of the parts are there but the owner doesn´t know exactly all and which one of them. So my questions are if you can find all parts for the XK150 on the market and how easy it is to ship? We know about the Brexit situation and therefore we don't know how hard it will be with the trade and shiping. Is there any reseller except from the UK that has all parts for a XK150?

Best regards
Mikael Säberg

No single supplier is likely to have all parts for an XK150. Apart from the UK, other suppliers are mostly in the USA where the bulk of the original production went. YOur best bet if you're in Sweden is the UK suppliers. I wouldn't worry too much about Brexit; trade will carry on regardless, although you might have to pay a small tariff.

Other thing to realise is that many parts are only available used. Some parts, although available new can be of variable quality so one must be careful. Upgrades to modern brake calipers are available.

Thanks for your answers. Do you also know if you can order headlights from UK suppliers that has left hand driving glas?

I don't know, you'll have to ask them, but most suppliers cover the whole globe to maximise their customer base. Lets face it, you can get stuff halfway round the world in a few hours using the global parcels companies some of whom have their own jet freighters.

Actually, I think it is the bulbs that are handed, not the headlight units that take them.

I know this a VERY old post, but I thought I would reply with some (hopefully) useful information.

SNG Barratt, one of the very best Jaguar parts vendors, have a branch in France - see
https://www.sngbarratt.com/Francais/#/uk/home

I think they also have branches in Germany and Holland.

I live in France and order my Jaguar parts from them, thus by-passing the Brexit problem. I have a 1957 XK150 and also (since June of this year) a 2009 XKR - they sell parts for both.

Cheers
Tony

I also see this is an old thread, but I don't see an update from the original question. I got my XK150 as a pile of boxes in 2015 with many bits missing. I managed to get hundreds of the required parts from SNGB and a few others, but ended up having about 50 parts made and still have about 10 parts to go, and realise these are made of unobtainium, so I have made a few bits myself and bodged the rest from similar parts. The hardest to find seem to be top dashboard bits and the 5 door card parts per side.
