Just back from service at my local garage (not a jag specialist). He tells me the vibration I am feeling in the *** end is bad outboard u-joints on the drive shafts. Said these parts are no longer available from Jag - attempted to get them directly from the manufacturer (moog) and found a close equivalent but wanted $900 to do the job. I said no thanks. Any insight from on where I could get this part?

 

I've seen U joints being repaired on youtube, so you could tackle yourself.

 

One of the forum sponsors SNG Barratt still stocks the u-joints according to their on line listings. You might want to give them a call. You might want to download their free catalog. It is a great reference.

 

XKs Unlimited seems to carry them as well. They suggest that they fit other models as well. About $20 ea.
