Default Transmission leak

hello to all
my 1997 xk8 had a remanufactured transmission installed a month ago. Has run great but developed a small leak a week ago of what I thought was oil. She's always had an occasional small oil leak. Marking her territory, guess.
Today, a lot of fluid and reverse and drive slipped getting out and then back in the driveway.
Many ideas?

Nick

Yes, the transmission has a 24 month/unlimited miles warranty and the labor a year. It also thru a P1722 code (stalled) between reverse and drive in the driveway.
Was wondering what it could be. I'm calling the shop and tow tomorrow

A dramatic transmission fluid loss where there is no crack in the casing is likely to be input shaft/front pump seal or output flange seal.

Another possible cause is a collapsed torque convertor but this has a distinctive sound like broken glass being rattled in a tin can.

Thanks Graham.

No rattling sound at all. No reason to think there's a crack in the bell housing. Probably the a seal.

Thanks again

That's a real pain. Minimal on parts cost but huge on labour.

I had a torque convertor fail on an XJ40 many years ago. Replaced it and three weeks later the transmission front seal failed. I think I got rid of all my transmission bad luck in one go that month!

Well, supposedly all parts and labor are covered for 24 months. Got it in writing.
We will see...
