I'll be picking up a 2006 XK8 next week. I know it has keyless entry. Has anyone retrofitted keyless start either personally or had the dealer do it? Thanks.

 

Don't all the new style have keyless start from the factory?

 

He has a 2006 xk8 which was last year for x100. The 2007 is designated as x150.
He is talking keyless entry, ie remote unlock. The keyless start is for 2007 on. This cannot
be retrofitted to the previous model. If you want, you can get remote start installed but this would be via aftermarket alarm system.

 

Thanks forthe info. My most recent car had keyless entry andI had itretrofitted with the factorykeyless start. Several U.S. owners did the same. It was an 04 and only the 05"s and the Euro models had keyless start. Remote start is of no interest to me.

If I'm in the wrong section, please direct me. I must be missing something.
