This will be my first jaguar purchase - and this is my first post to this forum. Thank you in advance for any responses. I'm going to buy and XKR and am trying to decide whether or not to wait for the 2008 model to hit the dealerships or buy an '07 now. There are some minor changes to the '08 - they did away with the aerial metal antenna that is on the 2007, as well as some interior cosmetic changes. I'm pretty sure that I can buy a new '07 off the lot for about $500 over invoice - OR, I can buy a "used" XKR from a non-Jaguar dealer - the car only has 1,000 miles on it for about 3,000 under invoice price, OR I could wait for the 2008 to arrive and probably pay MSRP - I doubt I'd get much of a concession from MSRP.

Does anyone here know when the 2008 model will arrive or know much more about any changes that I didn't list? Also, any thoughts on buying from a non-Jaguar dealership - warranty, etc? The particular dealer that I'd be using in this case is Luxury Motors in Illinoise....I'd be buying it and having it shipped...

the one i'm looking at is midnight black with black interior - it's a beautiful car. I've just hit a snag though, unfortunately... I am currently leasing an Infiniti M35 with 12 months left on the lease. I was going to use swapalease.com to transfer my lease as my lease payments are very reasonable. Infiniti Financial Services won't allow you to fully transfer your lease - I just found this out. Instead, I would have to remain a co-borrower and would be held liable for any missed payments or damage. So, I either have to find a trustworthy friend to take over my lease OR sell my car before I can buy the XKR. That or wait until my lease is up IN A YEAR! Wish me luck finding a buddy to lease my car!
