Hi. The last time I contacted the forum was in May this year. My 96 XK8 Surges when I accelerate during normal driving conditions. This is an intermittent problem, sometimes when I start up, the car runs perfectly and then out of the blue the surging will start. I have run 3 independent computer diagnostics resulting in no codes being identified. I have replaced the fuel filter and run 2 liters of meths through the tank to clean the fuel line. One interesting point is that if I drive without using my foot controlled accelerator, using only the cruise control feature on the steering wheel the car runs without fault ? My dash display says "poor vehicle performance" So I guess the problem lies somewhere between my foot and the carburetor ? Has anyone experienced anything similar? Regards David
