Default 1997 xk8 coupe windows

i just drove my xk8 for the first time ever after replacing the secondary cam tensioners. the car is a dream to drive and look at. my only concern is the door windows. they go down and up a little bit when opening and closing as they should. my dislike however is that if i open the door at a normal speed the window still catches the rubber. if i'm extra slow opening it its fine. is this normal?. i know its only a small point but my favorite thing about jags has always been the way the door feels to open and close. like no other car.....

Mine does the same thing. There is no damage though, as the top of the Door Glass just deflects the Weatherstrip without damage. However, the door cannot be properly CLOSED with the glass up because of the angle of the Weatherstrip.

i thought so thanks. i'm a little dissapointed with the design, very un-jag like. i'm also a little miffed that it sounds like a ford pick up truck when i start it. i suppose i'll have to go back in the line for the real jag feel..
