I have searched through the threads, but don't see one quite like what the previous owner of my car says is does. She was driving up a steep hill and down shifted the car into low gear but claims it would do nothing. She says she put on the brake, shut the car down as if to restart the computer, and tried it again. She says still no low gear. She seemed to think it was fine though with just normal driving. What might be the issue inside the transmission? Would it need a full rebuild, or just the front end and the a drum? Any ideas?

 

It may be low fluid problem if it shifts fine on level ground.

 

Thanks for the advice. I will check it once the car is fully in my possession. I had to move it from her place, and we just took it to my Dad's, so I don't have it here to check as of yet, but soon.
