I have a 1999 XK8, great overall car. I have a question about the glove box door, I know now how to remove the door;

but my problem is that the door is not locking in its place and that is because the locking pins on the door sides (one on each side) is moving out, I think something it loose or broken inside the door itself. So the questions is: How to dismantle the door itself ? is that possible ?

I've got the exact same problem with my glovebox door, and I try not to open it very often because it can be so difficult to properly close. I'm going to get to a fix eventually...too many other projects to tackle first, though.

I'd sure be interested in hearing someone's experience with the fix.
