2 Pet Peeves!
This is a wonderful Forum.
BUT
It would Even Better if;
1.) All posters would have the Year and Model (Coupe or Convertible) in their Signature or Avatar or Message.
And;
2.) All Posters would check their Spelling (Is the word you just typed underlined in red?), and Punctuation.
Then;
Use the "Preview Post" Button to see what their post will actually look like Before hitting the "Submit" button.
So There!

I agree on the above, but typing from a mobile phone using the little tiny qwerty keyboard is hard and takes FOREVER to get caps on, use that comma, not to mention typing out the entire word.
I often allow lots of leniency to grammar and spelling if I know a post is from a mobile. I just wish it said (POSTED FROM MOBILE) automatically...sometimes I do add that very statement before or at the end of my own mobile-apped post.
BTW Paul, shouldn't it read
just razzin ya Professor English.

I have seen "wsroe" (worse) spelling examples than this forum but as for the punctattion you are right because it makes hard to figure out meaning the words lol

Spelling and grammer used to be my pet peeves until a while ago too Paul, like any forum we have good, bad and indifferent examples here, but thats just the way it is.
Please bear in mind ( as I and others here do ) that this is a multi cultural forum with members from literally all over the world, with differing educational backgrounds and much more I'd guess.
What put it into perspective for me was some serious member bashing, some time ago for poor spelling, grammatical errors and the like, to the point where it was almost bullying.
This seriously had to stop and an end was put to this kind of behaviour.
I, myself always try to ensure good spelling etc, but sometimes with the amount of posts I can make I simply do not have time to spell check them.
For so many reasons, including but not limited to the aforementioned, I now try to be as forgiving as possible on that front
My viewpoint is in my sig
But, seriously ... reading a message over and over to divine the meaning of the question being posed is hard work.
Over time, one tends to ignore such questions because it is easier that way. So, who loses? Everyone.

well scrap, I didn't know the deletion was on purpose...really, I couldn't tell. Oh well. I hear ya plums, if i have to read a post more than once, okay...maybe twice to get some meaning, I move on. The five runon sentences together and missing conjunctions kill my interest.

1.) and 2.) ??
Are they smilies?
I always use SeaMonkey (Like Firefox) and the Spell Check uses a Spelling Data file included in the Browser's Files: (en-US.dic).
Hey, Paul, you grammar meister, you
I think it only fair to point out that you have used two incorrect tenses in your 'if' clauses. You can't follow a conditional by a conditional perfect, but only with an imperfect, thus:
This forum would be better if members had...
NOT
This forum would be better if members would have...
Similarly, a double conditional is impossible:
It would be better if members checked (imperfect) and not would check.
Finally, it is never good practice to begin a sentence with 'and', or 'but', and there is no justification for the capital letters half way through your sentences.
Sorry, but rules are rules

Oh brother! I'm the queen of typos. And I can't say I have a degree so if you
are too snobbish to read errors in a message, please avoid mine altogether.
Picky, Picky, Picky.
I'm so glad we have different gifts.
