2000 adaptive suspension upper fromt shock mounts
I ST rated hearing clanking in the right front suspension. I popped the top cover off the upper shock mount to uncover it and the shock wires and found a massive amount of red powdered foam rubber. I know there are threads here about this, but can't find the ones for an 2000 X100 XKR. I have read that it's a nightmare to change w/adaptive shocks.
I am looking for something firmer or stronger and replace both fronts. I just had the front painted and the height on the RF IS CENTER OF WHEEL TO ARCHIS 14"
(It hit and rolled the whole fender lip out. LF is 15" and it just hit and rolled about 1". I would love the setup that I saw with Bilsteins/adjustable collars but that's out for now!
SNG Offer OEM for "normal" suspension, but no listings for anything under the adjustable lot.
Thanks Wayne

Shock mounts are the same. Taking the nut off the adaptive shock without the shaft rotating and breaking the internal connection can be difficult.
At that age I would expect the rubber parts all need replacing, especially upper A arms and sway bar bushings and links.
