Front Shocks, w/adj., mounts, ect... Purr-fect!
Well guys, today I installed the front shocks w adj., upper and lower mounts, ect... everything worked like a charm. I've sent along a few pics... those who have done this job will understand. I did use my own designed spring compressor that was as safe as breakfast in bed.... and NO SCRATCHING the springs! BTW, after a few quick adjustments, ride height is 15 5/8" left front, 15 5/8" right front... not bad eh?. I know it's not formula 1 or anything, but, not bad for an old guy with few spanners.

YES, thats correct for the REAR suspension, I have not done any mods to the rears yet. I did consider shorter springs ... I was going to get the h&r lowering springs to use in the rear if I go the adjustable route on the rears. This post I did was for the fronts and, it did work very well. Consider the odds of two springs being the same stiffness, then factor in the odd weight left to right over several years... they won't be the same. Also consider the anti-roll bar connecting the right & left... if the ride height is different, then the sway bar will always be under a load, with my set up, I get each side the same, and the load on the sway bar is neutral... makes the suspension more compliant.

Well, as per your request here are part #'s and supply info. for the adjustable spring collars; Source; A1 Racing Products, Warminster, Pa. phone #; 215-675-8442 ... ask for BRAD, we was extremely helpful w/ all my questions on size of items... even took the time to get a caliper and measure stuff w/ me on the line, Great guy! You will need; qty. 2) # A1-12456 7" sleeve and qty. 2) # A1-12460 coil nuts The sleeves cost $18.40 ea. and the nuts cost $12.87 ea.... a bargain! You will have to machine a new snap-ring groove aprox. 3 1/4" BELOW the original to place the mid section of adjustment in about the pos. of the stock spring seat. Since I had 4 shocks, I cut my groove twice as wide and used 2 snap-rings on each shock... thought it may be stronger than just one. Also, I cut the stock spring seat and placed it over the coil nut from A1 to help center and support the spring. BTW, I tried to send many pics of this when I did it but JF would only let me send only a few at a time... I have more pics of various points if anyone needs them, you may have to advise me as to how to send them. Any more questions, pleas ask...
