It is sure that this topic has been beaten to death, regrettably (being a new member) I can't seem to find a thread that relates. I just purchased a very fine example of a 2002 XKR and would like to refit a radio/nav that can actually be used... USB and satellite would be a definite +.

Sooo, is there a unit out there that is an in-dash fit for the existing radio (and cassette deck)? A photo of a completed refitting would be very helpful as well. To avoid redundancies I'd also like to swap the existing nav with the gauge cluster. Thanks very much for the help!

I installed this 7 inch single din android after my original head unit began randomly shutting down.
Involved a little improvisation but now have plenty of music, phone and sat nav options.

 

These are the kits you need to fit a standard single din head unit into the XK8 dash, but the challenge is to find one still in stock:-

I'm new to this world as well, and have been researching different ways to upgrade the stereo. I love the classic elements of my 03 XK8, but I need some updated tech.
