2003 XKR...Have questions

First post...

I have a 2003 XKR with only 1200 miles. Anything that I should know about this car? Any special maintenance items or weak points?

First of all, are you kidding me...only 1200 miles? If so, sounds like it has been sitting a long time...that may cause some problems. Get the fluids changed...well, all fluids except the transmission, right techs?

There may be a few more in the xk8/xkr section, but those are the ones that I found the most info that you may be interested in.

From what I have learned, the 2003 and up models are very reliable. Minor wear and tear items, maybe a few glitches/parts that need replacing (right and left door latches were warranty items on mine), but generally, you got a sweet ride. Gonna say this nicely now...get us some pics new guy.[sm=smiley14.gif]

Thanks for the links. This car has been sitting so long that I forgot the year. It's actually a 2002. It's at a shop right now awaiting a new fuel pump. It must of failed from just sitting. I guesswe wasted the warranty. The car is in Florida now. Before we had it in Michigan where it pretty much just sat with a cover over it. Hopefully it'll be enjoyed once we get it running.
