2004 XK8 power seat problem
Hi all,
The passenger seat in my 2004 XK8 has not had the ability to raise the seatback up since I have bought it last May. Now, the seat cushion will also not move back. The lumbar support and headrest move, however, so it is not all of the switches.
From reading similar posts it appears that the problem is the seat control module. Does anyone know of how to access/remove this for diagnosis and repair?
Thanks!

You can keep reading posts for details, but you should try and swap the driver and passenger modules to see if the problems follow the bad module, so to speak.
Each modules is under the front edge of the seat. You can touch them by leaning forward and reaching under the seat from the front. They are grey plastic, and held by 2 10mm nuts. You might want to raise the front edge of the seat for more clearance. The harness is the back is sort of hard to remove, you have to depress a tab, and then pull straight out. Resist the urge to use tools to pry them out. 3 plugs on the driver side, 2 plugs on the passenger side.
They can typically be repaired. The name "Darrel Turner" comes up a lot...
Best of luck, keep us posted.
