I have a 2007 XK coupe and love it. I previously had a 98 andalso an 04 XK8 coupe. Although this onedoesn't seem to handle quite as well as the XK8's,it is certainly a lot kinderon my body. No moreback breaking railroad tracksand I can steer it withthree fingers.

I did have the exhaust noise at 1500RPM and had the clamps installed which got rid of it. Had to put up with some electronic gremlins for awhile but they finally got exorcised.

I had the Ford Taurus grille replaced with the 07 XKR upper grille ($100) rather than a mesh grill ($700); cheaperand a little less bling.I alsohad chrome XKR 19" Venus wheels installed.

The only thing I don't like are the ugly cast brake calipers. Does anyone know of anything I can replace them with?

 

Sorry I'm not going to be much help, but I"m also interested in hearing alternatives. I'm still a few months away from gettingmy 07 XK convt and I like the things you've done to yours so far.

As for the calipers, not sure what's ugly about them, but you can always pull them off and paint them. I did mine in black and it made quite a bit of difference in appearance. Show us a pic of your calipers so we can judge. You've done exactly what I will eventually...move up from the 03 to an 07 in a year or so. I love that new body style.

 

Brembo or Stoptech 4 or 6 piston brakes would look great. But be major overkill and your wheels might not clear them.
