Is it stainles steel??? Mufflers? Had a man look at the car tonight and he is trying to convince me that it is ganna fall off soon when the darn this is quiet as can be.

Yes, it's stainless (I answered that question incorrectly once and was immediately corrected). Even though it's stainless it still gets small surface blemishes in it.
