Cool 99 xk stability /limp mode

99xk was showing stability/limp checked the codes and problem related to throttle sensor replaced the TB and on firing up the stability fail light back on with limp, did a hard disconnect of the negative battery cable and was unable to clear the limp. The signal returns with the key in the ignition and the system check pops up with stability /fail safe mode. this is witout starting the engine also Ihave had the abs module reworked I sure need some help thanks in adevance

stilligotit,

You've posted in the wrong section for your 1999 XK8. I've moved it from XK/XKR (2006 - Onwards) to XK8/XKR (1996 - 2006).

There will be a better response if you post the actual codes.

Gert

Clean your wheel speed sensors first.

If you still have issues run through the checks outlined here:

If you still have problems repair the solder joints in the ABS module:

If you have the faults when you start the car before you move it, then you might want to consider doing the solder joint repair first, as that is the most likely problem.

Fuse #17 (15A) in the main engine compartment fusebox in your '98.
