Alternator output
Looking online for a replacement alternator for a 1999 XK8.
A new one to fit has a rating of 150 amp.
Std specification is for 120 amp.
Is this a problem, as I know Jags can be finicky with electrics

Mark,
FYI - I ignored strong suggestions on this forum to stick with a Denso brand alternator as supplied by Jaguar. After 2 defective autozone units I tracked down and installed the Denso, all ok ever since.
prices wew all over the place, one mechanic quoted me $550 for the part! It can be found for around $220 plus core, though im sure you already know I didn't buy it from Jaguar .
