I have developed an annoying rattle that seems to be coming from somewhere inside the center AC/Heating vents. Does that piece just snap out with some gentle prying, or is likely to break?

Thanks!

Check out Rev Sam video to remove wood panel around the vents. Once the panel is off, removal of the vent assy becomes apparent. Mine was broken so I went to a wrecker to find a replacement. It works great.

there is also a common issue with the defrost vents rattling. there are some easy fixes for that by placing a length of black 3/8 fuel line hose between the vents and the windshield. It stops the rattle and looks like trim. My experience with that defrost vent rattle is that it was difficult to determine where the rattle was coming from, but I did the fix anyhow as it is simple and cheap, and all has been fine since.
