It sounds like the Racing Green kit from years ago. JgaXkr has one in his car, I seem to recall his was the only one ever sold in the US...

One other thing to keep in mind is that these toys essentially repurpose the J shifter function, so don't work quite like you might expect a real paddle shift to behave.

The J shift limits the maximum gear the transmission will select, but doesn't truly lock the transmission into a specific gear. It will still downshift on high throttle and may also refuse to up shift when you ask for one if the automatic logic doesn't agree with your choice.

You would have to reprogram the TCM to really get it to act like the later x150 paddles and do what you say, when you say.

It's a blast shifting with the paddles in my son's 08 xkr , but I don't think I'd be satisfied with the same on my lazy shifting 02. Speaking of which, how do you tighten those shifts up?

Search the forum for "blue top solenoids". There is an upgrade you can do to the Mercedes transmission that helps firm up the shifting.

For those of us with the ZF, tough luck.
