Default Aux cupholder

Planning an upcoming roadtrip and our small dog travels with us and sits on the console. Of course this renders the cupholder useless.

i modified this one from a standard cupholder sold at the local auto parts store. Glued a tab at the top to slide under the console and cut the bottom off for correct height. Also used a heat gun to bend the bottom around so it would align with the console. I had hoped to use Velcro to stick to carpet but carpet not compatible with Velcro. Easily removable for everyday.

Randy, nice job. Probably more useful than the factory pop up.

I know what you mean about your pup. Mine's about 60 lbs now, stepped on and broke the factory unit (NBD, I never used it anyway).

How does your new holder and your significant other get along? Enough leg room?

John

Here is our “navigator “ sitting on the console. There is sufficient legroom with the aux cupholder as my wife is on the petite side. Even room for her purse. Plus I just used it for a road trip and it is removable for every day

The picture we really need to see is the petite wife's legs clearing the cup holder .
