Default best place to buy a window regulator

I am doing a few repairs to our 2000 XK8 convertible. We don't use it much and just hit around 50k miles. I am finally fixing the rear window regulator and followed the instructions I found on this site and just got it out of the car.

It seems a shame to replace the whole piece as it is just the cable that looks bad but being a 2000 I know there was a problem with the regulator flexing causing the cable to screw up plus I can't find any repair kits with just the cable.

So... any suggestions on the best place to get a new regulator?

You probably will not do better on price for a new part than here:

Thanks that is the best price I have seen.
Unrelated but I noticed on the site - any idea why the left rear glass is over $900 when the right is around $300? I don't need either just thought it was strange.

Thanks again

Jaguar parts pricing is very bizarre.

The market for these parts is very small and the cars are out of production. When Jaguar runs out of stockpiled inventory or changes a supplier on parts which are out of production, they probably need to seek out vendors to make very small quantities. Ths drives the price way up on some parts. For others, they simply become unavailable.

Many of us have used this dealer and he has a good reputation.

I stock the front and rear window regulator clips for the S-Type (and X-Type). Those guide clips are the most common failure cause. If there is enough interest, I can check my European manufacturers for cables and drive pulley.

This discussion is regarding the rear quarter window regulator for the XK8 convertible and coupe (not the X-type or S-type). Do your parts apply to this model?

I would have been very interested in a cable/drive pulley set as that is all that is wrong with the regulator. To late for me as I have purchased the whole unit and will be installing it later today.
