Default Brake Bleeding after ABS module repair question

Attempted the cut your ABS Module in half and resolder the power connector fix yesterday to try to resolve the ABS/Traction light issue. Interesting procedure, though truthfully did not see any breaks, though these old eyes are definitely not the best for small close in work. Soldering all went well though and RTV should finish curing in a few hours.

My question is - after re-assembly, I am going to have to bleed the brakes - bought a big bottle of DOT4 since I would like to renew the fluid anyway - but, can I use one of those one man DIY brake bleeders that suck the fluid out through the caliper? I have one and use it all the time on the motorcycles with pretty good success, but I do not know if there is any issue with the ABS system and sucking the fluid out vs. pushing it out with the normal two man brake pedal pump system. Did figure out after reading other posts that the rotation is counter intuitive (start at LF and work your way out to RR) but I will do that. Didnt see anything about the pull vs. push though.

Thanks,

Mark

It doesn't matter.

I would suck the old fluid out of the master cylinder reservoir and refill before starting just to lower the time to get clear fluid at the caliper.

Thanks! I did think of that. Bought the $7.99 all purpose fluid pump from Harbor Freight when I was there getting the star sockets just for that purpose (since I dont have a turkey baster).

Will report how it goes

Two Goals:

1. Car will stop
2. ABS and Traction Control light will go away
