I have seen a lot of xkr owners who have changed their front bumpers to a newer model year bumper. I have a 2002 xkr and would like to change to a 2005 xkr or xk100. is it a straight foward bolt on? If so, i will begin looking for a front nose for the swap

 

The bumper is a bolt on, but you will need a new undertray and to extend (or replace) the fender liners.

Not too bad, and there is a thread around here somewhere showing how its done, but I can't seem to find it right now.

 

Have put a 2005 bumper on mine, purely for the better airflow, but am also liking it now actually.

It’s a straightforward swap iirc, but you do need the undertray with it, and the inner fender liner will not fit nicely. With some hard plastic (ie from a large jug or so), I filled up the empty area, much cheaper the full new liners, but best would be to get the full set (so bumper/grill/tray and liners) in one go.
