Default C5 Wheels on my 99 - PICS

Wrapped up my wheels project and pretty happy with the results. Picked up a set of C5 staggered wheels in need of refinishing. Had them sand blasted then I painted them with a two part epoxy then a solid black urethane. Had a set of hub centric spacers made at 1" for the front and 1.25" for the rear. Got a used set of 275/40/18s on CL in great shape and a set of 245/50/17s for the fronts.

Always some concern with spacers but I can confirm they fit snug around the hub, lugnuts are torqued to 90lb and I put a little loctite for insurance. Most importantly, the lugs and studs are below the mounting plane of the wheel, so no interference preventing proper torquing of the wheels to spacers.

Costs:
Wheels - $100
Rear tires - $100
Spacers - $160
Sand Blasting - $100
Paint materials - $125
Front tires + mount and balance all - $145

Pretty happy with how it turned out. The front tires definitely have a little more meat than the rears (17s vs 18s) so I'm thinking I might run a 245/40/17 if I decide to put lowering springs on. Still some work to do but now I'll pass my state inspection and can start working on the "nice to fix" items like upper shock mounts.

- good job, looks very nice with these spacers You have mounted, I gonna try with 1" all around on my XKR, running 10"X20" 285/30 rear and 9"X20" 255/35 in the front this weekend, let's see if my wheels hit the fenders or not.

I really like the offset. I've seen those Y2K wheels on what feels like a billion Corvettes but I really like them on your car.

Thanks! Thought the spacing info might be helpful for someone.
