Default California spec cars

Hi Chaps

I have found a nice looking 04 XKR Coupe with 60,000 miles I am considering, it's fairly expensive but seems in very nice condition.
I'm a little concerned about the fact it was exported and first sold in California. If I buy it, the car will be living on the east coast.
My question is, is there anything to be concerned about with a CA car in MD? Is there a difference in the emissions equipment? If so, will it be difficult to replace stuff like catalytic converters?
Lastly, does the CA stricter emissions constrict/choke the power significantly?
As always, thanks in advance....

I believe all Jaguars sold in the U.S. meets California emissions standards. There's a label to that reference on mine. It was sold in Dallas originally. I haven't ever heard of any new cars that perform to lower standards because of California staandards. Good Luck on your purchase

Manufacturers stopped making California specific models quite some time ago. There are a few states with really tight emissions control, California is the most strict so all car manufacturers pretty much design their vehicles to meet our emissions standards.
