Default Can I just say.........

something that I might have said before ? I doubt I will ever own anything Jaguar wise (long term) other than an XKR in coupe or convertible form. 3 days and counting with the top down and I just came to realize that the rear speakers aren't working, LOL, thats how much I enjoy the CAR and not the gadgets.

I have been driving since 73, got my first Jaguar in 77 and over the 35 years have had many which I have enjoyed over and over but...... the fun factor of the XKR is just so much more to me. Mind you mine is only a 2000 but at some point I will upgrade to a newer, 05/06 then I'm sure then move into an even newer one but I just had to post this.

When these cars run right and in the right conditions they are pretty fun to drive. Especially for a sun lover like me living in this sun filled state. I got to get it all in now too because in 2 months it will be too hot to cruise with the top down.

Thanks for the read boys.

Aren't the rear speakers on the sides disabled on the convertible? I know it was mentioned in a thread awhile back

Naw ... that's why the A/C still runs with the top down! You need it most when you are forced to stop. I keep two ball caps in the seat pockets and sun screen in the console (keep it in a ziploc bag in case it gets too hot and leaks).

Not in my experience. They seem to work just fine, all the time.

Nope. They're loud and clear.

Have you checked the audio controls for the Front - Rear fade setting? If fade is set fully to front, you wouldn't hear anuthing from the rear speakers.

Use the Mode button to scroll through settings for Base / Treble / Balance / Fade.

I believe the rear speakers in the convertible are just sub-woofers. Set the radio controls to rear only and turn the volume up.
