Car Cell phone holder?
Haven’t found anything decent to cradle my cell phone in the car while driving the XK8, phones either in my lap or just laying on the console when driving, would love to hear what others use ,,,, thanks
I am deathly afraid of using those air-vent mounts on the 20 year old air-vents in my XKR. They are in pristine conditions, but I wouldn't be surprised if the plastic is brittle and will break under the weight of those + the phone.
As a kid, I saw many broken air-vents in the various X308 Vanden-Plas's my dad had over the years...
Some of those may have been my fault when I was a wee-lad tho.

I also don't like using the air vents so always put Brodit mounts in my cars. You buy the clip and mount separately. In the XK8 I have this clip and attach my iPhone to their magsafe mount - very solid and charges the phone too.

This is one of my pet peeves - slamming the vent vanes closed when there is a wheel to open and close them. One of my middle ones is broken due to this. Now, I have to stick a pencil or something in there to move or straighten the vanes. The little connector things behind the "flaps" are not terribly robust and only for directional control. If I see a passenger in my car doing this they get a slap on the wrist !

You’re in the section for the X100, which has a six disc cd changer in the trunk/boot. Yours is an X150.
I may have to do something about my girlfriend. She has a habit of always wanting the A/C hot even when it’s hot outside. My Mini has dual zone a/c, so I don’t notice when she puts her side in 80°F whereas mine is at 60°F. But on the Jag, the a/c stays in 60°F (I told her it doesn’t heat, which is a lie
), and what she ends up doing instead is slamming the vents shut (she uses the wheel) on her side, this annoys me to no end.

Also interesting, I note on the proclip website they are not listing these for the X100 anymore, so glad I got one when I did and can confirm they are very solid, good quality mounts. first heard about these in a doug demuro video, but they are pretty good paid shilling notwithstanding. That said, I don't use mine any more since I put in my joying head unit and build myself a solid metal mount that clips the phone to side of the screen, so I now have an X100 proclip going spare.
