Default Car Hauler Recommendation

I need to arrange a car hauler to ship my two Jaguars (XKE & XKR) to South Carolina from MI this summer. I would request an enclosed trailer, can anyone recommend a reliable car hauler to use and an estimated cost for each vehicle?

I received a quote from Allied Moving with a total cost of $2,700. I thought that was high.

Thanks

I've had mostly bad luck with car transporters but the place that brought me the XK8 I owned did an excellent job and no complaints whatsoever. He also hauled a Rolls for a friend of mine from VA to CA and it also went well with no problems.

I bought my car in Buffalo NY and had it shipped back to me in CT. While I can't recommend anyone, I can tell you that I used online forms to get quotes from various companies. That's fine if you don't mind being harassed for the next couple of months. I would limit the contact info you give these guys. The only other issue I had was not realizing that they won't send the car until they have enough cars to justify the trip. I was told it would arrive in a week and it ending up taking 2 or 3. In case you were wondering, it cost around $500 and was delivered on an open car carrier.

Crossover charged me $600.00 from RI to VA. The trouble I had is that I live in Damnville VA which is way off the beaten path and many carriers wouldn't even do it because it would "waste" to much driver time getting to me and back to an interstate. I had the car in just 2 days after it was picked up in RI and no bad surprises.
Tell James Hi from the guy who had the green XK8 shipped... (and a friends Rolls).

Horseless Carriage is the Gold Standard here. Not cheap but worth it.

James Randolph got right back with me via text message and emailed me a quote. Wow, great prices, $1900 for both cars in closed carrier and $1,300 open trailer. That is about 1/2 of the quote from Allied. I will arrange for the shipment with Crossover Transport.
