Here's kind of an easy/stupid question I've been meaning to ask:

On the stock head unit is there a button to pause CD play, and if so which one is it? I don't have an audio manual and ever since I've gotten the car I've been unable to find it.

 

I can't figure it out either, even though the display is capable of displaying "CD Paused". I just hit the CD/TAPE button or turn the system off. - Also here is your Audio Handbook: (it, and most operators manuals, can be found @ http://www.ownerinfo.jaguar.com/extf...prod/index.jsp)

Up until a few days ago I didn't think one existed (which is ridiculous IMO) When ejecting the changer tray with the radio the other day I noticed that the stereo did pause the disc until the tray was re-inserted. Seeing that it did have the capability got me wondering.

 

yep, I noticed the same thing on my 2000 XKR.
I saw the pause message once when ejecting the cd tray, which led me on a witch hunt for how to reproduce it by button at the head unit. I tried every combination of buttons I could think of with no luck, and also read the audio system manual from end to end several times, with the final conclusion that its not possible. I'd love to be proved wrong.
