Chain tensioners replaced
Last week in was the upper shock mounts. Today finished the secondary chain tensioners. Used the Lincoln LS (FORD) tensioners and LS FEL-PRO Gasket Kit. All went well, thanks to all the great posts on this forum. When it came to getting the dip stick tube out of the way, as suggected, I just used the Dremmel with a cutting wheel and cut the bolt at the top of the nut. Also went to Ace and purchased two "O" rings for the secondary breather, old ones were a little smashed.
Also did some painting since I had everything apart, Look's really good, IMO, which is what really counts.
Again, this Forum is a great source for information, THANK YOU!

Busy, busy! Sounds like the wrenching gods are smiling on you. Getting those tensioners done added significant enjoyment to my XK8 driving experience. Let's see some pic's of the paint work! Whether we dress-up our vehicle's like someone else or not, I think most people here appreciate the chance to see everything.

Pictures of the Paint Work
Never posted pictures, hope this works.
Engine and Coil covers are done in Metallic Black. Lettering is Metallic Gold. Purchased two lapel Leapers, painted with the gold and attached where the 4.0 was prior to preping for paint. Clear coated the cam covers and the air intake tube. Plan to clear coat the covers on each side just ahead of the cowl as well as the fuse cover on the left fender well. also did the Oil cap and dip stick handle.
Thats about it for now, thanks for the interest.
