Changing Brake Discs

Hi
How easy is it to change the front brake discs on a 1996 XK8 Coupe. I'd say I'm an average mechanic withy a good selection of tools etc available ( done them on my last BMW 7 series before with no problems) - just been offered a pair of new discs at a silly price and they need doing anyway. They are genuine OEM parts - if I say I live in Coventry, England do I need to say any more !! - are there any special tools needed?

Nick, if i can do it, anyone with a set of wrenches, 7mm hex bit, and a little free time can. Only car I touched before this was a Jeep Gr Cherokee, and I found it very simple to do. Good luck!
Straightforward Job. Pull the wheel; remove two (2) each caliper bracket bolts; remove caliper and hang out of way (do NOT hang by rubber brake line); and remove rotor. Rotor and hub centermay have set up a dielectric at the slip fit joint. Use penatrating oil, and gently tap from behind till the rotor slides off the hub center. You'll feel like Sir William Lyons when you are finished. gordo
