hey forum, I reset my codes on my xk8 last week and i'm still waiting for them to reset so I can inspect the car.... I checked today and had only 1000 up so i'm still having to wait,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, BUT after I checked the codes today my alarm wouldn't work when I tried to put it on ,,,,,, it only beeped and wouldn't close the door locks.................... any thoughts ??? Maybe just needs time to reset also ?????? or did I screw something else up ????

 

Think i found the problem....steering wheel wasn't going up after removing the key...... After lubricating the key and inserting in key hole of steering column the wheel started to go up and the alarm was able to go on.....
