Convertible Hood Recess
Hi, I have my first XK8 convertible. At the front of the inside of the soft top there is a recess, it looks like an opening to put your fingers into if you needed to help the top close. My question is, should this be an open recess, or should there be some sort of insert... I ask this as it looks untidy as it is and I would have thought that jaguar would not have just left an bare opening...
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
I see you have a '97. I have heard some of the earliest models had a plastic insert, but have yet to actually see one.
Most models have a fabric pocket with rolled and sewn finished edges. As the headliner foam liner deteriorates sometimes they tear or start getting untidy.
