What should I use to clean it? When it's retracted with the cover off the metal frame is exposed and it looks pretty ugly. It doesn't appear to be painted. Perhaps it's anodized or something. The metal is all splotchy, but it's not corroded or anything. What can I use on it to try to even out the splotchyness and give it an even, dark gray appearance? I tried Armor All a few weeks ago, but it didn't help much.

 

Clean it with a clean damp cloth. When it is dry use Back to Black on the metal rubber it will last longer. Be sure not to get it on the fabric and remove the residue.
