Why is it that only the (NA) passenger side window seals seem to fail? I need the two seal for the RHS front / rear window and the dealer wants over $650 US that's almost $1,000,000 CDN dollars!
I looked on Ebay and lots of LHS seal available at somewhat reasonable prices. Does anyone have a good source for seals?

Look for a more modern car with seals that will fit ...in the UK it a Vauxhall Corsa

 

Yes, worth a look. From memory he used some from the newer model of the mini by BMW.

 

I can only speak to your first question as to why...The upper seals take a beating when the head of the person getting in or out of the car strikes or rubs against the seal on the way in or out. It can happen on either side and all it takes is once if done with sufficient force. $.02 that belong to me.
