The ONLY thing that matters is that the coolant meet the required spec as mentioned in the owners manual. You must ensure that the coolant you're considering mentions that spec. It's written either on the front or back label. Takes all the confusion out of the selection. Brand name, type, colour, price are all secondary.

Coolant to be used depends on the VIN, apparently.
I would definitely check what is in there already, just to be sure. Mixing types can lead to a gel that clogs the system.

I think the main concern is just not mixing anything else with the Dexcool. However, If a previous owner drained and flushed out the Dexcool and replaced it normal coolant then you certainly don't want to add Dexcool regardless of the specifications. Under that condition you might have to do another drain & flush before returning to Dexcool.
