Default coolant leak xkr

Hello,
I have a 2001 jag xkr convert, w/ 26000 mls.. All runs and works well, except for a coolant smell after driven for awhile. I had the local jag dealer do a pressure test about 2 months ago, with no problem found. It has been bothering me since, with the smell still exsisting. I finally took the car to a radiator shop, who found 2 leaks, 1. the hose clamps at the bottom of fill tank[ repaired], 2. somewhere in front of engine right near superchager, just below those small rubber hoses. without and dismantling you can really see.
I'll be returning to the jag dealer with this info and hoping for some results..

My question is has anyone have any idea what this could be? Also, there is a after market warranty here and it states coverage on coolant system and
supercharger and intercooler . any thoughts.

Thanks in advance

The rubber coolant hoses under the supercharger have been known to fail. Though it is a simple hose replacement, the supercharger needs to be removed and replaced, which is a few hours of labor. Defintiely have it ASAP done while you are under warranty. Aluminum engines can easily be damaged by overheating if too much coolant is lost.

John, please post next time in the XK8/R section to the '96-2006 cars...this section is for the later models.

John,

I've moved your thread from XK / XKR 2006 - Onwards to XK8/XKR 1996-2006 forum.
