Default Cost to Replace Front Control Arm & Sway Bar Bushings

Hi Folks. I'm seeking your advice. For LABOR only (I'm providing all bushings) for the front (not rear) suspension, does $700 sound reasonable? That's to replace the upper and lower wishbone/control arm bushings (8 total), as well as the two front sway bar bushings. Your thoughts? I spent $145 delivered for all parts.

Where could you get parts that cheap? The lowest I would consider buying just for the upper bushings is $30 per, = $120.
Wow. Hope they work for you.

Rock Auto. I had to call the distributor (APA Industries) of the manufacturer (URO) to know which model numbers to get for which bushings. Rock Auto offered NO help at all. The rep at APA Industries told me the front bushing part numbers as follows: MNE 1360CA = Lower arm, rear position (two); MNE 1360BB = Lower arm, front position (two); MJA 1462AB = Upper arm, both positions (four). The price also included the stabilizer bar bushings (MJA 2102CE) of which I needed two. None of these are polyurethane, but I really don't care, since I need to keep parts costs low, and I don't put many miles on the car.

You can easily do the upper bushings yourself. Check you tube for a rev sam video.
Lower ones will require much more effort.

I'd love to save on the labor, but I really can't get under the car to do it. The wheel speed sensor cleanings were the extent of my under-the-car abilities. Does that price seem reasonable given the scope?

About the cost, possibly correct. The lower bushings are a bitch, while you are at it for $50 bucks per side in parts you might want to think about replacing all the ball joints also. Be sure whoever does this that they know what they are doing, the shims on the upper bushings must be put back exactly as they come out. Also many folks run into issues with removing the upper fulcrum bolt so if this acts up you could be in for more expense.

I saw the video. I could totally do it if I had the jacks and an air gun.

At Harbor Freight I found a cordless impact gun for about $ 120.00, less if you have a discount coupon (they have corded ones also). Obviously if you need an air chisel, this won't do much for you. But it seems to have pretty robust torque figures plus you can carry it your trunk in the event that you need to change a tire without waiting for AAA. Haven't tried it on my lugs nut yet, but will report in the near future.

ditto on the ball joints why you have 'em off. I would also be leary of uro bushes as I haven't had luck with them lasting they dry rot quick in my experience.
