Default For Count D, Skid and Alag some modest upgrades for Coupes

I think XK racer and Avos might have something to say about the claim below.......but you would have somewhere to mount your PBTW and girl friends on that spoiler.

cheers,

jj

Here are some pics of the fastest GT car on god's earth!!! Arden Jaguar XK A-type with 550BHP and 690Nm Torque, ludicrously fast.
This cat is tuned by Arden and is a no compromise GT car, meaning very light and seriously quick...
The usual Jaguar refinement and quality are every where in this car, attention to detail is amazing.

Front splitter increases turn in at high speeds.

Rear spoiler has vortices of moisture coming off it in the right conditions, speed+humidity=vortices like what you see coming off aircraft wing tips!!!

Front close up.

Beautiful louvrets on bonnet for heat dissipation from the supercharged V8.

Same size tyres as stock XKR wheels, they are massive in standard size anyway.

Recaros, aren't adjusable like the XKR ones, but provide superb support on track days.

Hi jj You are trying to lead me on arn't you!!

I love it.When do you think it will get to our price range £10-£12 Grand!!!!
The thought of "mounting my girl friend" on that spoiler is quite appealing.

The Car looks sharp,,, Obviously something we would strive for,,,, But that rear spoiler thou effective and needed is a little over the top,,, I would rather drive a little slower then have that and look like every car on South Beach in Miami...

I'll bet Tony (XKRacer) is familiar with this car, at least a little. It'll be interesting to hear what he has to say.

Looks like they've converted to a manual box as well.

Thats an old car, Arden did that quite a while back, alot of it was "there say", I have never seen any independant inspection, I beleive they said it was all carbon fibre as well but I have also been told that was not true, who knows?

I think Avos has more than 550 but at the time that was true but the cost to get there was huge even by Arden terms

I have never seen any 0-60mph times from Avos though!

You've seen mine which is far below 5 seconds

@Jochem,
Haven’t really tried yet to get good 0-100KM/h starts, it requires some skill with the amount of torque I have which I haven’t made my own yet. I have bought a gtech pro now, so am going to try to get some good figures in the spring/summer on normal roads.

But considering the power figures I have (with some training ;-)), and taking the XKR 5.0 gearbox/gearing into consideration, it might be closer to the XKR-S which does it in 4.4 seconds then the stock XKR 5.0 with 4.8 seconds.
If you want to get some idea of the acceleration power my car has, best to test drive in a XKR 5.0 or the S one, I think you will then also see that it will be impossible to be just as fast with your stock 4.0 (in like for like conditions). Of course you are always welcome to visit me if you are in the neighbourhood (i'll keep the beer cold).

I have no direct info on the Arden A type other than from a 2008 price list, in which they sell a 530 bhp package (that includes a parts to stroke the engine to 4.5 and twin-screw amongst others) for 39.500 Euros, and the A-Type body kit for 12.000 Euros.

Thanks Avos;

Avos and XK I was never considering the Arden stuff just pulling the guys legs.

Red seats always let the girls know up front what they are in for....kinda like a college mate of mine's red sofa couch and red carpet.

But really, a red dash board?

Never been keen on cars that blatantly advertised how fast they are....I have met enough policeman in my life already.....prefer to keep it 'under my hood/bonnet' as it were.

Wonder where Skid is? Still fixing his front end I bet.

cheers,

jj

Not a fan of all red interiors either, a previous customer of mine had this done....

Racer;

Wow that must have cost a fortune.

There is one red interior I liked on the Grey Maranello's;

For some reason it works on those....but not on the dash.

Here's Some Pics of the System and Interior

cheers,

jj

Tony how were they able to have the red on top & ivory on the bottom of the dash? Is that dash died on top or is that a seam? I just covered my dash in leather & that was an area of concern.

Hey Avos;

We had high winds 100-160kph...lots of rain and surprisingly almost zero snow...just a dusting that is melting now.

But the higher mountains behind us got slammed.

Hey Andre are you up for the Loire Valley-Bordeaux rallye this summer?

I am trying to get White XKR to commit and there is a guy that does fantastic car detailing on the West Coast that has expressed interest.

I just noticed that we could anchor it by starting at Le Mans...they have an open track day in the beginning of Aug., not on the full course, but it might still be a blast to take a spin around there.

cheers,

jj

Heard that at some mountain peaks wind speeds where measured of almost 270kmh in Switzerland. We only had lots of snow (again) with some avalanche danger that has closed all ski slopes. We now await the opening of the road as we need to leave tonight (unfortunately)…

Am always open for a tour, France is more or less around the corner and a great place. If work permits would love to join (like the le Mans idea).

Hey Avos;

I can't believe you are around the corner from me....are you flying or driving out?

Any chance you can stop off and see us?

cheers,

jj

That’s pretty close indeed, they only just opened the roads, so you weren’t even able to come up, we are in Belle Plagne.
However we must leave (by car) at midnight so the kids can sleep all the way, at least that worked on the way down (thank goodness). Thanks for the generous offer though, maybe next time, as we might come back soon. If they close the road for the night (not expected) we will stay another day, and let you know.

Andre;

Amusingly I was just on the phone with JagXkr in Boston, John.

I bought a grill from him that will look better than the three piece.

He mentioned that someone on the German Ebay was advertising an Arden Exhaust with free flow cats that I should try to buy....know anything about that?

cheers,

jj
