Default A couple more dumb questions

(1) Does the 2005 XKR have a part load breather? The reason I ask is that I see mention of it on various forums as one of the routine things to clean and it is described as a fitting on the front of the driver side cam cover. I do have a fitting there but the hose that connects to it runs under the supercharger and into the air cleaner outlet pipe right above the throttle body. When pulling the hose off the cam cover fitting I do not see anything that would need cleaning. There is also a similar hose that connects to a gizmo on the front of the passenger side cam cover. That hose runs to the rear of the engine and disappears somewhere. What are the correct terminologies for these various hoses (I assume they both are part of the positive crankcase ventilation system).

(2) At the air intake box, the actual intake passes through into the fender somewhere. So where is the intake air being gotten from?

(3) I love the louvers on the hood but is there a problem with excessive water possibly dropping down into the engine from a heavy rain?

Thanks,

Doug

1)PART LOAD AND FULL LOAD BREATHER, DRIVERS SIDE IS PART LOAD AND PASS IS FULL LOAD. WHEN YOU TAKE OFF THE HOSE ON THE COVER FOR THE PART LOAD, SLIP A SMALL DRILL BIT IN 1/16" IF IT GOES IN THE SMALL HOLE ITS CLEAN.
2)THE AIR COMES FROM BEHIND THE PASS HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
3)NO

Regarding breathers, on my 2005 where the hose hooks to the driver side cam cover it goes into a fitting that I can look into and I do not see anything with a small hole. That is why I am wondering if there was a change versus pre-2005 models to address problems with the hole getting clogged.
