Default Update :)

I was cleaning the car today and I realized I've never been completely happy with the look of the exhaust system. The tips are great, but the pipes and mufflers are a bit too visible for my liking. They are tucked up like the were stock, so I decided to paint them with a bit of high temp, flat black spray paint. I also did the rear muffler clamps which were starting to rust.

AFTER:

For $6 and about a half hours time, I wonder why I didn't do this sooner

Looks good, Kieth. Let us know how that paint holds up with the heat from the exhaust.

I see most of this thread is from last summer...are you still happy with your exhaust set-up?

I used high temp paint good up to 1200° so hopefully it holds up well. I still love the exhaust system, but if I had to do it again, I may consider dropping down to Flowmaster 50 series for a little less noise. I don't get a whole lot of drone at speed, but with the top down, if I'm cruising with no radio at a sedate pace, I still hear it a little. Moderate or aggressive acceleration, especially with some echo, still plasters a big grin to my face and the exhaust tips are much more suitable compared to the wimpy stock ones, yet aren't oversized to the point where they look silly.

Just an update, the paint is still holding up well, just a little bit of chipping on the front of one muffler, presumably from a rock getting kicked up?
