Dash Lighting - I've been a silly boy
Hi all,
I'm hoping some of you can help. A few months ago, I changed the LEDs that had blown on my 1997 XK8 Convertible's switch pack (the one with seat heating / hazard warning etc) Recently, I noticed that the four right hand switches weren't illuminating with their new bulbs so I opened it again to make sure that the bulbs were in tight. Very stupidly I used a screw driver while the ignition was on (yes - I know dumb!) and there was a small spark.
All buttons work, but the panel has lost its illumination totally now. I've checked all fuses and opened up the switchpack (no sign of damage) but from what I can see there is minimal circuitry in there anyway. Whatever I blew is elsewhere I guess. Any hints please?
Thanks in advance,
Russ.

It's very likely the instrument pack itself. You can send it out for testing and repair, but it might be cheaper to buy a used one. Just match the numbers.

Turned out it was the instrument pack after all. I bought a refurbished one for £63 delivered next day and a dimmer module just in case (got it for £20 so worth a gamble)
Thank you all - I won't be so silly next time!
